Shaun McCourt

Shaun has kindly agreed to be the patron for Mac’s Theatre School. He is a very successful actor from Wiltshire working in the heart of London’s West End, a superb role model for our students here at MTS.

"How great to hear of a new and exciting theatre school being set up in the local area. As a professional actor, I feel it is so important  to nurture creative skills in young people and allow them a forum to express themselves and work as a team, and of course, share their talents. Whether for pure enjoyment, or for those wishing to pursue a career in the arts, this is a great place to begin.

With the aim to excite, entertain and inspire, this can only be achieved through the work of an ensemble. Not only do the performing arts allow individuals to nurture talents and creativity, they also stress the importance of team work. The creatives, musicians, technical crew, backstage crew- all work together as one to achieve the same goal. And what a great process this is to be part of!

To the students at the Mac's Theatre School- work hard and enjoy yourselves. It goes without saying that your studies are important, but this is a time to use that creative side of your brain and get up there and show those talents. Don't hide them, embrace them. Have fun, what a great thing to be part of!

Finally, I would just like to wish you all the luck at Mac's.

Best wishes"
